Rob Rokicki is an award-winning songwriter, performer and music director in NYC. He is a member of the Dramatists Guild, Actor’s Equity, and alum of the Tony Award-winning BMI Musical Theatre Writing workshop. www.robertrokicki.com

Rob teaches music theory for the musical theatre program at Pace University and audition technique, pop/rock workshop, and is a vocal coach for CAP 21 Musical Theatre Conservatory in conjunction with Molloy College. He is also the Finale music guru for the nationally recognized children’s theatre publishing giant, iTheatrics. Rob is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a BA in English and a BFA in Musical Theatre. His first studio album, I’M READY, featuring many Broadway friends is available on itunes, in addition to THE LIGHTNING THIEF Cast Recording and MONSTERSONGS.

As a writer, Rob wrote the music and lyrics for the critically acclaimed Off-Broadway adaptation of the popular Percy Jackson novel, THE LIGHTNING THIEF: THE PERCY JACKSON MUSICAL (book by Joe Tracz), which was nominated for three Drama Desk Awards, including Outstanding Musical.

As an actor, Rob has performed in national tours including the EVITA 25th Anniversary Tour directed by Hal Prince and MISS SAIGON. Rob was featured in the televised concert of SOUTH PACIFIC at Carnegie Hall and has many Off-Broadway and New York credits. Regional credits include Gaston in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (received a Carbonell Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor); Trevor Graydon in THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE and many others.

As a music director, Rob music directed the New York premiere of DEPARTURE LOUNGE (directed by Christopher Gattelli) at The Public Theater; Joe Iconis’ REWRITE (also arranged for Samuel French) at The Goodspeed Opera; HAIRSPRAY, at the John W. Engeman Theater, THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS, at TriArts at Sharon Playhouse and others.
