Billy Porter is a Broadway performer, pop singer, film and television actor and vocal coach. A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, Billy’s impressive theatre highlights include Dreamgirls, Smokey Joe’s Café, Angels in America, Grease!, Songs for a New World, and Jesus Christ Superstar. Off Broadway credits include Radiant Ghetto Superstar for which he was nominated for “Outstanding New York Theatre: Broadway & Off Broadway Award” and Topdog/Underdog. His made his recording debut by singing “Love is On the Way” for the soundtrack of the film First Wives Club. He has released two albums: “Billy Porter” on A & M Records and “At The Corner of Broadway + Soul” on Sh-K-Boom Records. He is also featured on the albums “It’s Only Life: The Songs of John Bucchino” and Adam Guettel’s “Myths and Hymns” and “Love Rocks.” Film & television starring credits include Twisted, Another World, Shake, Rattle and Roll: An American Love Story (starring as Little Richard), The Intern, The Broken Hearts Club, and Noel.
