Lisl Vaillant- McDonald

National Tours: PHANTOM OF THE OPERA; STARS OF THE AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE

Lisl Vaillant- McDonald received her ballet training at the School of American Ballet in New York City. Upon graduation, Lisl joined the Pennsylvania Ballet where she danced for eight years, quickly attaining the status of Soloist dancer. Lisl also danced for a year with Pacific Northwest Ballet where she performed in their film production of “The Nutcracker”. Lisl eventually moved back to New York as a freelance dancer, performing on tour with the “Stars of the American Ballet Theatre” and “The Stars of the New York City Ballet.” Lisl completed her dance career by joining the national tour of “The Phantom of the Opera” with whom she toured for eight years as a member of the ballet chorus and understudy to the principle role of “Meg Giry”.

Lislʼs teaching credits include faculty member at Ballet Austin, faculty member at The Rock School of Ballet, guest teacher and outreach program recruiter for Eliot Feld New School of Ballet, guest teacher at: Steps on Broadway, Raleigh School of Ballet, Rutgers University, Westside School of Ballet, Longmont Dance Theatre of Colorado. Lisl is currently Owner and Director of Ballet Southwest Academy. Her duties include directing, choreographing, and teaching.
